John is the Chief Investment Officer, which keeps him in a close working relationship with TwinFocus clients, including senior executives, helping them design and expedite their investment strategies. Being a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, he leads its research efforts to develop new and creative asset allocation policies, oversees due diligence for manager search & selection, and administers the firm’s pension plans and endowments.

John is specially active on behalf of global and offshore clients, prospecting the most advantageous route through situations where cross-border challenges, taxes, and cultural sensitivities strew special obstacles, and portfolios must be maneuvered to solve problems of inter-generational succession. John spends much of his research day at the global cross-roads of economics and geopolitics, scoping out long-term investment themes in a world that changes with each day’s headline.

John’s education and experience have taken him through many a door and hallway of the financial investment house, a polymathic curriculum he puts at the service of high-net-worth clients and institutional investors. John received his Bachelor’s degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Boston University and has also received there his Juris Doctor Degree with Honors, and his Master in Laws Degree in Taxation. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. John practiced law in the greater Boston area, specializing in corporate law, taxes, and estate planning, and has assisted as legal advisor and investment counselor in the start-up of several family-owned businesses. John‘s career path brought him an inning as financial consultant with A.G. Edwards, where he advised individuals, families, companies and non-profits on investments, asset allocation, pensions and risk management. John will also being pursuing a graduate degree in economic policy and international relations to strengthen and complement his research capabilities at TwinFocus.

John is a licensed member of the Massachusetts Bar, the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society, where he played an active role in its International sub-committee. He’s on the board of several non-profit organizations in the greater Boston area, and assists them with their marketing, fund raising, and operations. John has also made in numerous TV appearances where he has had the opportunity of discussing global macroeconomic challenges.
