Bob joins TwinFocus from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) where he was responsible for examining private funds. Bob led for-cause and routine examinations where he would scope risk and evaluate the financials and operations of Registered Investment Advisers.
Prior to the SEC, Bob was the Vice President of Research at Freeman Associates in San Diego, CA, a quantitative equity adviser and early pioneer in the low-volatility space. While at Freeman, Bob rebuilt their small-cap value product from the ground up. In addition to conducting model and risk research, he was also instrumental in portfolio management and firm strategy. Bob started in the alternatives space at 646 Advisors, a market-neutral fund in Boston. At 646, Bob was a quantitative analyst. He researched the security selection models, built risk templates, and reconciled the funds.
Bob’s other work experience includes Wellington Management as a quantitative analyst in the international equities program, designing custom data solutions for mutual fund complexes as a consultant, and building real-time analytics for a fixed income trading floor.
A native of Hartford, CT, and life-long Red Sox fan, Bob now resides in Boston’s South End neighborhood. He often spends his free time with his lovely wife at their Connecticut lake house or in Rio de Janeiro while she tries to teach him all about Brazilian soccer.
