Eric Janszen

Economic Advisor

Eric Janszen serves TwinFocus as an Economic Advisor and a member of the firm’s Global Investment Advisory Board. In this role, Eric aides in guiding the firm’s structural economic views. Janszen is Founder and President of iTulip, Inc., the global online economics and financial markets community founded in 1998 with more than 50,000 members and 1,000 subscribers from 75 countries that The New York Times, CNBC and others credit with accurate economic and market forecasting.

 

Prior to founding iTulip, Janszen served in a number of executive roles, including President and CEO of AutoCell Laboratories, Inc. and Executive-in-Residence at Trident Capital, a $1.6 billion venture capital organization. Janszen was previously CEO of Bluesocket, Inc. and Managing Director of seed-stage investment firm Osborn Capital. He also held executive roles in system software engineering, product management, product marketing and sales for Boston area high technology companies.

 

In addition to serving on the Advisory Board of TwinFocus, Janszen is a member of the Board of Directors of TruTouch Technologies. He also serves on the Investment Committee of the MassArt Foundation.

 

A graduate of University of Massachusetts, Janszen was honored as an Eleanor Bateman Alumni Scholar in 2010.

 

Janszen authored The Postcatastrophe Economy: Rebuilding America and Avoiding the Next Bubble (Penguin, 2010) and co-authored America’s Bubble Economy (John Wiley & Sons, 2006). He has been published in numerous publications, including the Harvard Business Review and Harper’s Magazine and frequently speaks publically on the topics of global macroeconomics.
