As a seasoned client advisor, Jim provides goals-based, comprehensive wealth advisory, financial planning services and family office management oversight to a select group of clients at TwinFocus.
Jim partners with his clients to construct tailored financial solutions, while leveraging the firm’s resources of industry-leading professionals to ensure seamless implementation.
With an aptitude for “outside-the-box” thinking, Jim is passionate about helping his clients navigate an ever-evolving financial landscape, and providing peace of mind for the families he serves.
Prior to joining TwinFocus, Jim spent over six years at a Boston-based independent investment advisory firm, where he consulted to some of the firms largest and most complex private client relationships. During this time, he also played a critical role in the development and enhancement of many of the firms processes, and contributed to the creation of customized portfolio tools and resources for the Advisory Team.
A native of New York, Jim began his career in finance as a commodities trader and market maker in natural gas and crude oil at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), before taking an analyst position at Morgan Stanley where he supported the firm’s proprietary trading desk.
Jim earned his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics & Law at Binghamton University (State University of New York) where he also competed in their Division I Track & Field program. He is also a graduate of Boston University’s Financial Planning Program and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
Jim resides in Boston’s historic Charlestown neighborhood with his wife, Christine. He is an avid sailor and has competed twice in the Marion-Bermuda Cruising Yacht Race. Jim also enjoys playing and performing acoustic guitar, running along the Charles River and exploring all that New England has to offer.
